Using analogue radio system, information can be communicated to field units only by voice communication through the assigned radio channel. Dispatching through the TETRA or SPMR system can be performed not only by speech but also short text messages or data applications. This method brings about considerable advantage in rapid and clear performance of tasks. Transmission of text messages prevents difficulties related to misunderstanding of communicated information, such as names, addresses, numbers etc. In such cases, speech is used only in most urgent cases or hazardous situations.Centurion system enables sending and receiving images, data, reports or simply actuating signals - telemetry. The Control and Management Centre presents the heart of user management and monitoring. Its tasks include voice communication, information control and communication to the field. How to act in response to a reported event depends on the type, location and field unit available. The location and condition of a field unit is an essential information required by the dispatcher to act swiftly and coordinate the necessary tasks. Sending short messages and voice communication are the principal methods of control and communication with field units. The Centurion system dispatcher sees the location and status of each user in real time, and is thus able to communicate a task to the nearest field unit.
Task Conclusion
When a task is completed, it needs to be concluded, and the unit or user assigned to the next task. The Centurion system tracks the user status in real time and indicates to the dispatcher whether a unit is in the process of carrying out its tasks, on the way to a task, free or otherwise engaged. When a unit completes their task, they can use client applications or text messages to acknowledge and send it to the control centre where it is stored in database and processed in the form of final report.
